Frequently Asked Questions
Each survey includes an on-site inspection of the vessel: hull-and-deck integrity, a mechanical overview, and safety regulations. A written report is sent to you to summarize the findings.
The length of your appointment greatly depends on the size and accessibility of your boat. On average a 30-foot yacht will be surveyed by our team in about 3 hours. Keeping hatches clear and reducing clutter helps your inspection go smoothly.
Not at all. We understand scheduling can be tricky, especially during the summer. If you cannot be present for the survey, we will call you to discuss any details. Photographs taken during the survey can also be shared with you using Google Drive.
Most insurance companies will require a survey each time a boat is purchased to issue a policy, then every 5 years after depending on the age of your vessel. Your provider may request a new survey at any time during coverage.
We accept all major credit cards, cheque, and cash. Once payment is received a PDF copy of your report will be sent to you via email.
Turn around times can vary depending on seasonal scheduling; between 2 and 5 days. Please let us know if you have a deadline we should be mindful of.
Yes, we are American Boat and Yacht Council Standards Certified. Official certificate available upon request.
